This is an obituary of sorts to people, places and times. Also truly a labor of love. A Goodbye to Places is an edition of 50 chapbooks- the covers handsewn collages of sacred scraps, each hand-embroidered on free-pile fabric wallpaper and carpet samples, hand-bound, typed in the public library, printed, individually cut and glued. Years of scraps housed in drawers and studios and moved from home to home go into each book instead of the trash. This piece is about memory tied to places.
